For every word I write, there might be misunderstanding. For every angle I take, a chance that something is missed. And between the days and weeks, for words taken too literally, contradictions will seem to appear.
But I write for the careful reader, knowing that others will read the very same words and miss understand. I write to hold up a light of remembrance for those who choose to remember, knowing there are others who don't, and that's just fine by me. There are no losers, no predefined paths, no requirements to understand the mechanics of time and space. Joy remains life's only inevitable.
This beautiful life is constantly filled with funny [and sometimes not so funny] happenings, pondering thoughts, and delightful [and sometimes not so delightful] moments. This is my safe place for expressing said constants. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.

Okay...it's time I started writing again.
I started this new blog so I would write more...and it's been over a year! Epic fail. So here's to starting again and posting more than once a year!
Cheers!
We are getting ready to add another baby to our little family. It's a GIRL!!! We're due in about 6 weeks. Jon is convinced that she'll be here early. So are Deborah and mom. I can't wait told hold her! It's been a bit of a crazy pregnancy...but what pregnancy isn't crazy, huh? Baby Janice-May Rhianne will be the 2nd girl born into the Grider family in the past 5 generations. Woah! Talk about a testosterone overload. Everyone is a bit excited as you can imagine.
While I was pregnant with Isaiah, I had a dream that we had a baby girl and her name was Janice May. My first thought was "uh...what a weird name." A few days later I found out that was Jon's grandmothers name. That convinced me that we would be having a daughter one way or another. Janice May didn't seem to do it once we saw the ultrasound, so we picked Rhianne as a middle name and her nickname is Jayme! It already fits her quite perfectly!
We discovered that the nursery needed more work than just paint so it's no where near done at the moment. Last night we did another layer of spackle. Tonight we (meaning Jon) will get the texturing done. Then hopefully we'll get a little painting in this weekend.
It's not like Jayme will notice her room not being done. The only things she'll care about are being fed, changed, burped and cuddled by her family. But I notice...I'm so restless with her room not being done. Maybe it's that nesting thing settling in...again.
Isaiah is understanding that there is a baby in mommy's tummy...or atleast we think he is. He get's rather upset when other people touch my belly. He says "No! Mine baby!" and pushes hands away. He also kisses and pats my tummy with the cutest little grin imaginable. I guess we'll see what he does in a few weeks when she makes her big entrance. Soon enough! I will be patient and wait!
Cheers!
